Search Operators

In full text fields, search operators allow extending, limiting or specifying the search using search terms.

The following search operators can be used:

(Under EASY Archive the * is only allowed as the first sign of a search term (e.g. *stomer) when using IntraFind as a full text provider.)

Question mark

looks for e-mail messages containing words starting with any character and ending with ive (e.g. dive, hive).
(EASY Archive allows using the question mark only as the first character of a search term when using IntraFind.)

NOT exclamation mark

Not

NOT Customer or ! Customer
looks for e-mail messages that do not contain the word customer.

Quotation marks

Exactly this text

"Customerdecides" or 'Customer decides'
looks for e-mail messages containing exactly the text Customer decides.

Search in offline mode

After synchronizing archived e-mail messages, these will also be available offline in a corresponding PST file. This is represented within the navigation pane at the Mailbox level below the name EASY for EXCHANGE (Outlook). Search operations can be performed using Microsoft Outlook search.
