Printing and Assigning Barcodes

Paper documents can be assigned to a process only when a so-called return procedure, i.e. internally generated documents (such as delivery notes to customers) are printed out from Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and are, for example, re-scanned after they have been signed. In such cases, a barcode can be printed on the document when creating it. The barcode enables implicit process assignment when returning the document via scanning.

Barcode label

The ECM action Barcode label allows you to print barcode labels if a corresponding printer exists. EASY for Dynamics 365 BC uses the method defined in the ECM Setup Matrix / Vertical Solutions to generate the barcodes.

Assign barcode

The ECM action Assign barcode allows you to manually link, for example, a previously scanned document with the associated record in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. Moreover, you can enter a corresponding description.
