The following table provides an overview of the individual fields and their meaning:

Field

Meaning

Reason code

This field allows storing your own reason code that enables tracking the source of the documents in the individual document entries for each document definition.

Document journal

Post Document Entries Indirect ly

If this option is enabled, the entries in the ECM queue will not be automatically posted; they must be manually posted instead. You should perform manual posting only in extreme cases. If this procedure is nevertheless selected, the document journal to be used for this purpose must be stored in the Document Journal Template and Document Journal Batch fields.

The same is true for the On Hold Journal. All entries of the ECM queue which cannot be posted due to being incomplete are transferred to the On Hold Journal. Likewise, all externally scanned documents that must be assigned to a process prior to posting are also entered in the On Hold Journal.

Document Journal Template

If the Indirectly post document entry option is enabled, the Document Journal Template must be entered here.

Document journal B atch

This field is automatically filled with the name of the previously selected Document Journal Template .

On Hold Journal

On Hold Journal Template

Ordinarily, a single On Hold Journal template is used which is stored in this field. In theory, however, a separate journal might be set up for each document, import and transfer definition.

On Hold Journal B atch

This field is automatically filled with the name of the previously selected Document Journal Template .

Post after Assignment , if Ready

If lines are assigned to a process using the Assign action (in the On Hold Journal) or the Assign barcode action (on document pages), the assigned on hold lines will be set to the status Ready. When the option Post after Assignment if Ready is enabled, the corresponding lines will be automatically posted after their assignment.

Reverse Journal

Reverse on Transfer/Update

This radio button is used to control whether and how the document entries (document link) will be reversed after transfer. Allowed options are:

  • Never: The document entries (document link) are not reversed.

  • Via Journal: The document entries (document link) are entered in a reversal journal after transfer; they then need to be reversed manually. When this option is selected, you will have to specify the journal to be used for the reversal in the Reverse Journal Template and Reverse Journal Name fields.

  • Directly: The document entries (document link) are automatically reversed after transfer.

Reversed document entries are written in the Document reversal entries table. Reversed document entries can be restored via the document journal.

Reverse Journal Template

This defines a journal template that is used to reverse the "old" document entries.

Reverse Journal Name

This displays the name of the journal template that is used to reverse the "old" document entries.
